Eric is a born and bred Alabama native. He is married to Deirdre McFerran Wood of Madison, Alabama. Eric enjoys Alabama football, fly fishing, helping others, and spending time with his daughter Cecilia. He is an Eagle Scout, a member of the Federalist Society and committee member of the Alabama Lawyer Assistance Program. Eric was in the Alabama State Bar’s Leadership Forum Class 15 and co-chair of the Alabama Lawyer Assistance Program. Eric and Deirdre attend the St. Charles Anglican Church in Huntsville.
Eric graduated from Cumberland School of Law in 2010 and was the Writing Editor of the Cumberland Law Review. He has defended the rights of individuals in the Courts of Alabama since 2010, including multiple capital murder trials and numerous published decisions.
